Why we describe the sizes ?
Many people ask why we describe the sizes in centimetres – after all, XXL is XXL.
Well, things aren’t that simple. Each company uses different measures so that an XXL sweatshirt from one company fits 182cm in height while that from another 188cm. So it isn’t enough to just give the size name but have to say what that means specifically for that product.
In addition, the size of the clothing can be different for different consignments and different models. So, a single model of pants from a given company differs from another model from that company by one or two centimetres even though they are the same supposed size. What is more, pants that you bought half a year ago might be different from those now being sold. This means that we are constantly updating our size descriptions.
All of this is a result of the specific nature of how clothing is produced.
