MEGA SPLIT is definitely a premium tier among splitboards. One of the lightest, if not the lightest splitboard on the market, which is crucial during mountain expeditions. Inspired by the CAPiTA MERCURY series, the Mega Split is a cut version of the high-tech CAPiTA MEGA MERC board. The Capita Mega Split is a board for the advanced rider who can handle any conditions.
The board features an ultra-light advanced core from the premium world - 3D ASCEND 1 SPLIT CORE™ reinforced with wide bands of PURE MEGA CARBON™. Combined with the directional camber construction ALPINE V1 with raised board tips, along with the new thicker and incredibly fast racing base with carbon addition MEGADRIVE BASE™ XT with additional structure MOONSHOT OMNI-TUNE™, it creates a cosmic effect of one of the fastest boards on the slope, which holds the edge perfectly and transfers energy excellently.
Since last season, the CAPiTA The Mothership factory has been the first to introduce an extremely precise technology of cutting and sharpening the middle edge, so that the joined boards fit together perfectly. Thanks to this, riders on the Mega Split feel like they are riding a classic snowboard, not a splitboard.
The board is sold in a set with UNION EXPEDITION CLIMBING SKINS PRO by Montana™ skins, tailored to the length of the board. The PRO version hooks and clips are also produced by Union Bindings.

PROFILE:
- HYBRID CAMBER: ALPINE V1 - The ALPINE V1 Profile construction features camber in the middle, with a flat tail and reverse camber on the nose. This allows for lots of pop and stability on hard snow, while increasing the power of carrying and landing, expanding the rider's possibilities in deep snow. The camber is longer in the tail - providing extra power during ascent or for larger riders looking for a wider board.

- CORE: 3D ASCEND 1 SPLIT CORE™ - An extremely lightweight and versatile core with high impact resistance and maximum pop. Premium poplar of the highest quality, which has undergone special selection for the best ratio of weight to density. In addition, very light Paulownia wood fibers provide an excellent strength-to-weight ratio. Additionally, the core along the edges has a special polymer Bomb-Proof Bonding Component protection.
- FIBER: PURE MEGACARBON™ GLASS - Triple weave carbon fiber (instead of glass) on both sides of the core provides better energy transfer to the edge and the best stiffness-to-weight ratio!
- SINTERED BASE: NEW! MEGADRIVE™ XT BASE - Specially developed, sintered base. It is a pure racing surface made of UHMW polyethylene, modified with a high carbon content and special fluoro additives that provide light speed on various snow conditions. The base thickness has been increased for greater durability. Designed ONLY for the most depraved speed demons.
- EDGES: 360-degree HRC48 steel edges.
- SIDECUT: NEW AGE PROGRESSIVE DEATH GRIP™ - Progressive edge, which also uses DEATH GRIP™ technology that increases edge hold. The board has an inverted edge shape in the middle, making it hold snow better, more responsive, and agile. The progressive edge provides: variable turn radius, making the board more stable and agile, significantly better grip, smoother transitions between turns, and great versatility.
- SIDEWALL: full sidewalls with ABS1000 protection.
- INSERTS: stainless steel 4x2 inserts
- LAMINATE: MEGALITE SKIN™ TOPSHEET - A great-looking multi-layer laminate structure. The combination of matte, glossy elements, and gold inscriptions makes a great impression. Additionally, Capita ensured that the laminate is very light, much lighter than classic lacquered boards. MEGALITE SKIN™ is 60% lighter than classic laminate!

Which bindings to choose for the CAPiTA Mega Split splitboard?
CAPiTA Mega Split is a splitboard with medium flex, and only splitboard bindings can be matched to it. After mounting special Quiver Disk discs, these bindings can be used on classic snowboards.
