JONES Howler 160W 2026 snowboard
Snowboard JONES Howler 2026
Freeride x Freestyle – full camber, stability and explosive pop
A creative freeride weapon: The Jones Howler is a next-generation directional snowboard built for technical freeriding and aggressive freestyle in steep terrain. Designed in collaboration with Victor De Le Rue and Elena Hight, it combines the powerful stability of a full camber profile with a freestyle-driven feel that encourages big airs, spins and confident riding at speed.
The Howler is the board of choice for riders who treat steep faces, spine lines and natural drops like a snowpark. Minimal taper, a directional shape and a hybrid full camber profile deliver exceptional edge hold, dynamic pop and total control when stomping even the biggest tricks.
Board of choice:
- Victor De Le Rue
- Elena Hight
- Garrett Warnick
Key benefits:
- Mid-stiff flex – maximum power, stability and control at high speeds
- Directional shape with low taper – added float without sacrificing switch performance
- High Power Camber profile – outstanding edge grip, powerful pop and confident landings
Shape & profile:
- Shape: Directional
- Profile: High Power Camber (Full Camber)
- 3D Base: Medium 3D Contour Base
- Taper: Low
Construction & technologies:
- Power Core: Advanced triple-density wood core made from bamboo, paulownia and poplar. Centered bamboo stringers enhance pop, durability and torsional stiffness, while paulownia keeps the core light and damp.
- Koroyd: Ultralight vibration-dampening material inspired by aerospace technology. Placed in the nose section of the core to reduce swing weight and deliver quicker, smoother turns.
- Triax Fiberglass: Triaxial fiberglass laminate that provides precise board feel, dynamic response and a mid-stiff flex ideal for variable conditions.
- BComp Carbon / Flax Stringers: Carbon and flax stringers combine explosive pop from carbon with vibration absorption from flax while reducing CO₂ emissions. Developed in collaboration with Swiss engineering firm BComp.
- Premium Eco Topsheet: Durable, scratch-resistant bio-plastic topsheet made from castor beans, engineered for high impact resistance with minimal environmental impact.
- Base: Sintered 8000 Base – fast, highly durable sintered base with excellent wax absorption, easy to repair and built for hard charging.
- Resin: Bio Resin – plant-based epoxy containing 27% bio-carbon, reducing CO₂ emissions by 33% compared to conventional petroleum-based resins.
- Recycled ABS: Recycled ABS sidewalls with a rounded profile for increased durability and impact resistance.
- Recycled Steel Edges: Bombproof steel edges made from recycled German steel, designed for demanding terrain.
- Wend Natural Wax: Factory waxed with WEND natural wax – ready to ride straight out of the box.
Designed by professionals
The Jones Howler was created in direct collaboration with four-time Freeride World Tour champion Victor De Le Rue and Natural Selection Tour winner Elena Hight. The goal was to build a freeride snowboard that charges harder, lands stronger and spins bigger tricks in steep backcountry terrain.
“The Howler is truly my perfect board. I can trust it in any terrain because it's super stable riding fast, and the tail is amazing for landing big tricks.”
– Victor De Le Rue
