This is the switchblade of powder boards. It’s quick, maneuverable, and it will slash the backcountry like no other. While many great powder boards are large and surfy, the Kazu Kokubo Pro comes in a compact chassis with a powder nose and a slightly tapered tail. It unleashes maximum power through a new FSC® Certified Panda Core™ with Bamboo Power Rods™, and is loaded with high-end construction components like a Core Ash Woodgrain Topsheet, Ultradrive™ high-speed sintered base, and the all new Amplitex™ Amplifiers. While it's a lofty goal, this board is your first step towards trying to emulate Kazu’s legendary riding style.

ROCKER TYPE

ALPINE V3 PROFILE - The ALPINE V3 Profile features lower-body camber with a reverse cambered nose. This allows for maximum turning power while increasing float and landing stability. The camber runs deep into the tail on the KAZU PRO providing enhanced performance for this freestyle powder series. The Kazu Kokubo Pro uses traditional tip and tail arcs.

Panda Core™ – The Panda Core™ was built for a high performance return of energy in a lightweight versatile core. From razor sharp turns on demand, to huge ollies, this core was engineered with all-terrain technical freestyle riding in mind. Comprised of Capita's P2 Superlight Core and enhanced with inlaid bamboo power rods, this high-density core is strong enough to meet the needs of the all-terrain customer while saving considerable weight.

LAMINATES

Engineered Carbon Arcs – These 20mm Carbon Arcs are constructed utilizing an all new computer engineered carbon shaping process. After extensive lab work analyzing how a particular shape reacts to the dynamics of riding, each piece of pre-shaped and pre-laminated carbon fiber is made to exact standards that enhance the positive features of a particular board.

Dynaweave™ Fiberglass – The Dynaweave™ configuration features triaxial fiberglass on the top of the core and biaxial fiberglass beneath, creating more response while increasing strength and durability. Combine this layup with a specialized resin and one of the many additives CAPiTA has available and you get a high performing board tailored to meet your style of riding.

Bi-Resin – Low temperature requirement, high yield output. This marine grade resin system is poppy, powerful, and extremely durable. Bi-Resin yields much stronger and more rigid qualities allowing CaPiTA to decrease the wood core thickness. The main focus is to save wood core weight by increasing resin performance. This means you get a lighter board while achieving higher energy return.

Omega Mark II™ High Speed Base – The all new Omega™ Speed Base is made with a new blend of compressed ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene. The 2016/2017 upgrades include improved transparency and increased density. Sinstered for speed, this base is porous, absorbing more wax to wick longer and ride faster.
